Got Resolutions?
I’ve committed to a couple of personal goals for this year that are not too different from my usual fitness aspirations, but one that is unusual for me is to read an ACTUAL BOOK for at least 15 minutes/day. I’m on the computer so much that my book-reading attention span has greatly suffered, and I’m a bit unhappy about it. Luckily, I’ve found that once I force myself to sit down and read, 15 minutes go by all too quickly. A title Bill referenced in a meeting we had the other day has coincidentally been sitting on my bookshelf unread for quite a while. I’m now 3/4 of the way through The War of Art and can highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to accomplish anything creative. They say resistance is futile, but this book states quite the opposite. I am relating.
2025 is going to be an exciting year for the film. We are working towards a rough cut screening in June to coincide with the Twin Cities Jazz Festival, where we’ll solicit feedback from jazz aficionados, film buffs, music lovers, and people without agenda or bias who happen to wander in.
Wishing everyone a year filled with love, peace, music, and art.
